"BEST MARTIAL ARTS" SCHOOL IN MILWAUKEE

Thursday, November 16, 2007 (Milwaukee, WI USA) MMA & Jiu-Jitsu Programs Take Hold At Duke Roufus Academy: In only a few short years the landscape for combat sports and martial arts training has changed dramatically.

MMA or "Mixed Martial Arts" style fighting has become America's fastest growing sport, with millions tuning in to watch the UFC regularly on pay-per-view and SpikeTV, and thousands more packed into arenas across the country.

Recently showcased on CNN.com, the cover of Sports Illustrated, 60 Minutes and extremely popular on Pay-per-view, Versus, HD.NET, Showtime, MyNetwork and FOX Sports/FSN, MMA has emerged as America’s fastest growing and most exciting combat sport.

Combining the martial arts skills of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muaythai Kickboxing, Wrestling/Grappling and Boxing, more and more people, male and female alike, are discovering MMA on a daily basis. Most watch from a safe distance as part of a rapidly growing fan base or train for fun and fitness, while a few decide they've got what it takes and begin to train for competitive MMA fighting.

And Milwaukee just happens to be home of one of the country's top MMA training facilities, Duke Roufus Academy, located at 320 North 76th Street, 1 block south of Bluemound Road.

What some insiders know, that most people don't, is that many of the UFC's top fighters travel to Milwaukee to train with 4-Time World Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion and legendary trainer Duke Roufus, UFC fighter and head Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach Red Schafer and the school's large stable of talented instructors and fighters.

Along with Schafer, UFC stars such as Stephan Bonnar, Jens Pulver, Alan Belcher, Joe Doerksen, Brad Imes and IFL star Ben Rothwell have added their names to the long list of top flight fighters Roufus has trained.

As fate would have it, the UFC chose to have Bonnar fight Schafer on their recent October 20th pay-per-view telecast live from Cincinnati, Ohio, pitting former training mates against one another. After scoring a second round stoppage over Schafer, Bonnar made sure to thank Roufus (who was working as Schafer's head cornerman) in his post fight comments! Classy and classic.

Duke Roufus Academy offers a dedicated MMA training program for the serious competitor or the curious seeking a workout alternative. Students of all levels are welcome to jump in and try out a free first class. Make sure to call Scott Joffe at (414) 453-5425 to set up an appointment for the free class, plan on arriving 15 minutes early, and bring a t-shirt and athletic shorts. Free first classes are available on Monday-Thursday and Saturday. CLASS SCHEDULE

Collegiate wrestlers are starting to take notice of MMA with their grappling backgrounds and dedication to a tough training schedule adding another positive element to the competitive aspect. Many are finding MMA to be the logical "next step" after their wrestling days are over, but their competitive fire still burns. Duke Roufus MMA Academy's unique program works for all skill levels and experience, with an overall emphasis and concentration on developing deficient areas while continuing to improve upon areas of strength.

Students are taught the various components of MMA in classes that specialize in stand-up and ground fighting techniques (Muaythai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Wrestling) and then bring it all together in the school's MMA classes, and eventually if they train hard enough, someday in a cage or ring.

Beginners are welcome to start at Duke Roufus Academy any time, as the "safety first" teaching style eliminates hard contact (or sparring) from the initial Beginner and Intermediate instruction. Keep in mind, no Duke Roufus Academy student is ever forced to fight or spar if that's not what you are looking to do.

As the MMA program begins to grow at Duke Roufus MMA Academy, the Roufusport Competition Team fighters are starting to make a name for themselves with strong performances in some recent Jiu-Jitsu and grappling events held in the state.

In the "King Grappler Open" held Saturday, October 27, 2007 in Madison, Wisconsin, the Roufusport Kids MMA program was well represented by Shawn Garrett and Nate Romero, while Kyle Courtier, Paul Martinez, Chris Piper and Red Schafer competed on the successful adult squad.

ROUFUS & DOERKSEN WALK OUT WINNERS IN WINNIPEG!

Saturday, May 26, 2007 (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) Article and photos courtesy of Subfighter.ca: "Incredible." This is a word that is used a lot in journalism, maybe too much at times. It is commonly used in the following manner "wow, that movie was incredible" or "the speed of my new Porsche is incredible " or "that was an incredible Hockey game." Today though, I am going to use this word to describe an event that happened in Winnipeg.

One word can describe "Colosseum V," which was held at the Winnipeg Convention Center, on Friday, May 25, 2007. You guessed it, the show was Incredible. King John Promotions and Gladiators Fighting have stepped up their game to put on the best Martial Arts event to hit North America. This event had everything you could want in a Martial Arts extravaganza. The event had Boxing, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and the fastest growing sport in the world, MMA!

Not only did Colosseum V have all three styles of combat in one event, and in one ring, it had top caliber fighters as well. The main event featured perhaps the best North American Kick boxer in Duke Roufus. Joe Doerksen, easily the best MMA fighter to come out of Winnipeg and no doubt top 5 of Canada, showed the crowd why he is heading to the elite ranks of Pride to fight in Japan! A special and unadvertised treat was the arrival of Jeremy Horn. He was on site to corner teammate and friend Doerksen. If that wasn't enough, The "First Nation Sensation" Chris Fontaine showcased his mad MMA skills in the third part of the main event of the night. Fontaine for sure will grace the UFC or Pride in the future, as well.

The triple main event speaks to the credibility of this show. This was trifecta of class, skill and competition. This was the greatest Triple Main event lineup to happen in the city. This event will be hard pressed to surpass for sure. One thing is for sure, the bar keeps getting raised! From now, the main focus of this article has been the main event. But, it is not only a main event or star that makes an event, it must be graded on the entire event. And this one had it all.

Eric Perez came out in stunning fashion to defeat Mike Davis in a technical MMA battle. This was the opening bout of the night and it did not disappoint. Eric came out blazing and there were a couple of exchanges before the match headed to the ground. At one point Eric and Mike were tangled on the ground both working for leg locks. Coach and cornerman Curtis Brigham calmly conveyed instructions to Eric to guide him out of a nasty position. What amazed me was Brigham's ability to assess what was going on in the ring with his fighter, with Eric's ability to listen to his coach, and remain calm well in a bad position, and follow instructions under fire. In the end, Eric was able to get on top and unleash some WAMMA ground and pound. Mike Davis took some tuff shots and the ref stepped in to save his cabbage. Eric Perez defeats Mike Davis, (MMA) TKO R1 (4:34).

Next up would be the tough Codey Hanna taking in Frank Abbiw in a 4 Round Boxing match. Well this match started off slow with both guys trying to mix it up, but no one getting the upper hand. Things started to heat up in the 2nd or 3rd round when the blood started running. Both fighters were landing a lot of shots and to be honest, I couldn't see who was winning. It was just that close. If I had to guess, I would have put my money down on Frank Abbiw to take the decision, but that's not the way it went.

Codey Hanna started to fade in the last round and Frank Abbiw was finding his range. Unfortunately for Abbiw it was not soon enough. The 4th round came to an end and Hanna got the Decision. I would have liked to see another round or two to really decide this match. Codey Hanna defeats Frank Abbiw, (Boxing) Unanimous Decision R4.

Next up a Winnipeg fan favorite, Serge "And Destroy" Rochon would be facing John Hoffman under MMA rules. Serge has fought many times in Winnipeg and is always exciting. This time though, he looked even more focused and ready than I have ever seen him before. There was something different today, something harder, more edge.

The bell rang and Winnipeg's Serge Rochon came out delivering some solid leg kicks. Hoffman didn't want any of that, you could see him grimace each time he ate a leg kick from Rochon. Early on, in the 1st and only round, the match hit the canvass. Rochon landed in a very bad position. He was stuck in a tough guillotine choke Hoffman was holding on to Serge's head like it was a million dollar basketball.

To Rochon's credit, he didn't panic. He didn't waiver and he remained calm. All the while inching his way out of the tight grip of Hoffman. Rochon escaped the tight hold with skill and will, and then made Hoffman pay. And pay he did. Rochon unleashed a flurry of hammers that eventually saw Hoffman give up his back and Rochon got the submission win. Serge "And Destro" Rochon would later dedicate his fight and win to his sick grandmother. Serge Rochon defeats John Hoffman, (MMA) Submission 1R.

Up next, another fan favorite and Winnipeg fighter, Rodrigo Munduruca would face Don Richard. This match would also be under MMA rules and would be the first Heavyweight match of the evening! Now, it is possible not a lot of people know much about Don Richard, but hey, this guy is tough. Have you ever heard of Brandon "The Truth" Vera? Yeah, that's right, the guy from the UFC that is blowing through everyone that the UFC puts in front of him?

Well, Don Richard and Brandon Vera fought at the Next Level Fighting event. Vera couldn't finish him, he beat Richard, but it was a decision. Richard went the full distance with Vera. Why am I bringing this up you are asking? Well, Rodrigo Munduruca destroyed Richard. He ran through him like a hot knife through butter. I don't think anyone saw this coming either.

The fight started with a rough exchange on the feet with Rodrigo doing OK, but maybe not where he wanted to be. A minute into the match, Rodrigo tied up Don Richard and started his clinch game. A couple seconds later Munduruca pulled out a huge throw to get Richard to the mat. It was awesome, the crowd went crazy when that happened. And from that point on, the entire fight was all Munduruca.

Rodrigo, one of the most sought after MMA Grappling coaches in Canada, put on a mat clinic for the crowd and Ricahrd was the victim. He moved from position to position getting Richard's back, working an omoplata, working for a kimura, constantly pressing the action. Munduruca eventually settled into the mount and this is where it turned real ugly for Richard.

The 260 pound Munduruca was sitting on Richard like a house was parked on him and reigned down BOMBS. That was it, the ref gave Richard a life jacket and pulled him out of the water. The fight was over and Munduruca gets another win. This was a good test for him. He showed great improvement on his standup game and his ground dominance is nothing short of scary. When will he make his move to the UFC, only time will tell. If he wants to, he has the tools and a great coach in Giuseppe DeNatale. Rodrigo Munduruca defeats Don Richard, (MMA) TKO Stoppage 1R (3:48).

The second boxing match of the night would showcase Billy Arnot and Michael Springer. Billy is a tough young local fighter that appeared to do very well early on the match. It actually looked like he was the better boxer. I don't know if he got hurt in the second round or what, but the tide started to change. Springer started to turn it up and Billy started to wince with every blow. Eventually, Springer got the first KO of the night when he put away Billy Arnot. Michael Springer defeats Billy Arnot, (Boxing) KO R5 (1:21).

The first of only two Muay Thai fights of the evening would put the very "Dangerous" Dave Zuniga against Torrance "The Tyrant" Taylor. Now, anyone that saw this fight will agree, this was the best and most entertaining Muay Thai fight to ever hit this city. Period. Sorry G.F., but this fight was magic. It was electrifying. It was something right out of a movie!!! Have you ever seen the movie Bloodsport with Jean Claude Van Damme?

Well, there is a part in the movie where Van Damme goes up against a Thai boxer and they trade hits. Van Damme takes a bunch of shots from the Kick boxer and eggs him on for more like the shots don't hurt. You see this in any movie where the superstar can take a punch and not go down. Well, that's just the movies right. No one in real life can do that. Well, not no one. Dave Zuniga can take a shot, and a many of them. It was right out of the movies this one was.

The stare down started with Dave looking like he wanted to eat Taylor for lunch. They bell rang and they both came out trading shots, both guys landing heavy as well. Through it all, Zuniga looked like the Terminator. He was always calm, cool and collected. He took hits, they never phased him. He just kept coming. He even let his hands down and waded in. Is this cockiness, or just extreme confidence. I think its the latter. Zuniga is just that good. Sparks flew with what appeared to be an intentional head butt at the end of the round. Which setup the fireworks for the second round where Taylor would get a chance to tee off on Zuniga, but it didn't seem to hurt him at all.

Later in the match, Zuniga dropped his hands and let Taylor drop about 10 shots right on the head, not once hurting the Winnipeg fighter. I think that was the turning point in the fight. Taylor saw he could not hurt him even when Zuniga was letting him, and the downhill slide for Torrance began. In the fifth round, Taylor came out with everything he had. He was trying hard to get back in the game, but it just couldn't be done. Zuniga stopped him with the leg kicks and he couldn't continue. Zuniga improves his record again. This kid is indestructible and near unbeatable. This fight alone is worth buying the PPV that will be released of this event. This was the most entertaining Muay Thai match ever to grace the Winnipeg scene. How much longer will it be before Zuniga moves to MMA. If and when he does, he will be a force if he learns the brawl and sprawl!!! Dave Zuniga defeats Torrance Taylor, (Muay Thai) TKO 5R (2:36).

Joe Doerksen, Winnipeg's finest MMA standout was up next against last minute replacement BJ Lacey. Now its too bad his original opponent couldn't make it, but cest las vie. In Doerksen's corner was none other than Jeremy Horn. Can you believe that? In his last match in Winnipeg, before heading to the land of the rising sun and fighting for Pride, he brings one of the most amazing MMA fighters of all time. Winnipeg was in for another treat!!! The bell rang and let me tell you, I had great seats. I was right beside Horn the entire time while he was cornering Joe. Horn was in constant communication with Doerksen the entire match. It was stunning how Horn was able to talk and advise Doerksen the entire match, and how Doerksen would respond to his corner's advice.

Horn would shout an order and Doerksen would follow. What a great team, what a great display of skill. Doerksen was never in trouble, he controlled the fight standing and on the ground, eventually getting the TKO stoppage early in the second round. Doerksen got on top of Lacey, dropped down the hammers and that was it. In the interview after he paid respect to another Winnipeg great, Giuseppe DeNatale. He also spoke about how he was ready to throw in the towel and move to the next phase of his life. And how DeNatale was instrumental in reviving his career. Joe Doerksen defeats BJ Lacey, (MMA) R2 TKO (1:11).

On a side note, throughout the night many of the fighters paid respect to Giuseppe "The Godfather" DeNatale. He is the busiest coach, fighter and promoter in this city. He is the standup coach to the now legendary CKMTC which produces the best standup fighters in Winnipeg (winnipegkickboxing.com). On this card he was the coach to Serge Rochon, Rodrigo Munduruca, Dave Zuniga, Joe Doerksen, Chris Fontaine and Duke Roufus. All of these fighters won their matches by the way and there were no easy fights here. They all thanks the Godfather for his excellent instruction.

DeNatale is no stranger to competition as well. He is a Muay Thai phenom and if anyone has ever seen him fight, they know he is one of the best. DeNatale has wins in K-1 over the likes of Dewey Cooper and Carter Williams. He holds several belts and has only lost to top competitors like Michael McDonald and Maurice Smith. And the Maurice Smith match was a decision loss to boot and could have gone either way. He is easily the best Muay Thai trainer and fighter in Canada. If you want to learn Muay Thai, he is the man to see. DeNatale has teamed up with King John Promotions to co-promote the greatest Martial Arts show in North America. The only show to blend three styles of fighting arts. DeNatale is a busy man, look for more to come from this local hero. Much More . . .

Up next another MMA champion and future star, Chris "First Nation Sensation" Fontaine. This tough as nails MMA star squared off with Justin "Bacon" Hutter. Hutter looked like something out of the movie Cyborg and I thought bad things were going to happen in this match. He looked like a monster and I was more than a little worried for Fontaine. The fight started, as they all do, on the feet. It soon ended up on the mat and it looked like Fontaine was in a bit of trouble. Hutter was working a submission from the guard and had Fontaine's hands tangled up somehow.

Moments latter Hutter was giving up his back or so it seemed and was able to secure Fontaine's back. It was starting to look pretty ugly for Fontaine as Hutter had a tight grip around his back working for the rear naked choke. To Fontaine's credit, and with the aid of excellent cornermen Rodrigo Munduruca and DeNatale, he was able to remain calm and get himself out. Fontaine worked out of the choke attempt and back up to his feet and just walked away. He shrugged Hutter off and saying get up, lets do this again!

The two got back to their feet and Hutter immediately went for a takedown that Fontaine stuffed easily. Down the mat the fight went, this time with Fontaine dropping some vicious strikes from within Hutter's guard. At 4:30 of the first round, the ref stopped the fight, Hutter couldn't withstand Fontaine's lethal ground and pound. Fontaine is still the champ and no doubt on his way to the UFC or Pride ring! Chris Fontaine defeats Justin Hutter, (MMA) R1 (4:30).

The final match of the night would showcase Duke Roufus, former K-1 star and current living legend in the Kickboxing world. This cat could have come out of retirement anywhere in the world to fight. He could have chosen Japan or Las Vegas for him to have his coming out of retirement, and going back into retirement fight. He chose his second home, Winnipeg, Manitoba for the location. And what an honor it was for Winnipeg to be the setting to say welcome back and farewell to the living legend.

Roufus, arguably the best kick boxer in North America, was set to face K-1 Brazil Grand Champion Eduardo Mairorino. Wow, this was to be a battle of two incredible champions. The bell rang and the sparks began. I was just amazed at how big Duke's legs were, the guy is like a Tree Ent from Lord of the Rings. The guy has massive legs and I think he used them to perfection. The fight was back and forth for a round a bit as Duke put on a Muay Thai clinic. Roufus was landing leg kick after leg kick that eventually made Maiorino quit early in the second round. Had the living legend earned his last victory?

Roufus had said he wanted to have another fight, and he did. He dismantled the game Mairoino with ease, and now is hanging up his gloves. It was his first fight ever being married and he didn't even get a scratch. The busy Roufus jetted away the next morning to corner Alan Belcher at the UFC. How busy is that!!! In his final moments in the ring, he gave thanks to Giuseppe DeNatale for training him and helping him prepare for this fight. What a champion, what an event. Roufus said that was it, but you just never know, I for one want to see more! Duke Roufus defeats Eduardo Maiorino, (Muay Thai) TKO R2 (0:56).

Incredible. That is what the team of King John Promotions and Gladiators Fighting has become, incredible. They put on an incredible show with amazing Boxing, phenomenal Muay Thai, and incredible MMA. The show was a Martial Arts trifecta of perfection in North America and it just gets better and better. The promoters and fighters are nothing but professional and top notch.

Every Colosseum event just gets better and better. If you didn't see this one, the PPV will be out soon. When it is, I will let you know on Subfighter.ca And if you have never been to a Colosseum event, get tickets for the next one. You just never know who might be there. This event had Stephan Bonnar and Joe Aiello in the broadcast booth, Joe Doerksen fighting with Jeremy Horn in his corner, Duke Roufus in the main event, with Chris Fontaine and Dave Zuniga putting on one of the craziest displays ever.

This show, this production, the fighters, the coaches, the fans, were nothing short of incredible.

ROUFUS AND DOERKSEN'S RETURN HEADLINE WINNIPEG TRIPLE STYLE MAIN EVENT!!!

Wednesday, May, 23, 2007 (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) King John Promotions and the Canadian Kickboxing & Muay Thai Centre, in association with Gladiators Fighting present "Colosseum V" MMA, Kickboxing & Boxing triple style fight night, featuring 4-time World Kickboxing Champion Duke Roufus (36-8) looking to take out Brazil's best in Eduardo "Morpheus" Maioraino de Morais (33-5) this Friday night, May 25th inside the Winnipeg Convention Centre starting at 7:00 p.m., doors open at 5:00 p.m..

Ten bouts are planned for the evening with Roufus' return to the ring (after nearly a 2 year absence) a big treat for the large contingent of loyal fight fans in "The Peg!" Roufus made a name for himself as a fighter in 1995 when he won the ISKA, WKA, WAKO Undisputed World Heavyweight Kickboxing Championship by 1st round (overhand right) KO over Stan "The Man" Longinidis (Melbourne, Australia) at the Foxwood's Casino in Ledyards, CN. Roufus went on to collect 3 more world titles with wins over Mitch "Mandingo" Ohello of Brisbane, Australia in 1996, Patrick Smith from Denver, CO in 1997 and Hirawa Terengi of Auckland, New Zealand in 1998.

Roufus (37) has also made a name for himself as a trainer and put his acclaimed training academy on the map as one of the world's best. In addition, Duke can be seen or heard in many places including appearances on Walker Texas Ranger, Best Damn Sports Show and the E Network, and as color commentator for K-1 ESPN PPV, "Colosseum Fighting" Shaw PPV, "King Of the Cage" TSN, "The Break Out Women" MMA, Mainstream MMA, Guilty Boxing, Freestyle Fighting Championship and Kings Of Kickboxing.

Roufus last fought in June of 2005, when he won a close decision over Croatia's Sinisa "Thunderman" Andrijasevic in front of a packed house in his hometown of Milwaukee. Since then, he has concentrated on developing his stable of talented fighters who train at his local gym, Duke Roufus Academy.

Even when he's not training for a fight, Roufus keeps himself in top shape by performance training with former NFL star Joe Panos, and training and sparring with UFC fighters Stephan Bonnar, Jens Pulver, Brad Imes and Eric "Red" Schafer, IFL Heavyweight Champion Ben Rothwell, K-1 fighter and IKF Heavyweight World Muaythai Champion Giuseppe "The Godfather" DeNatale, plus a slew of professional and amateur fighters who train at the school.

Eyeballing Roufus from across the ring will be the younger and taller (6' 3" vs. 6' 1") Maioraino de Morais (27), who has racked up a ton of titles himself, most notably, he is a 3-Time Brazilian Muaythai Champion, WKN Brazilian Muaythai Champion, Brazilian Champion of Demolition Fight lll Muay Thai, 2004 Champion of K-1 Brazil Grand Prix and was a participant in the 2003 World K-1 USA Grand Prix in Las Vegas-NV. Maioraino de Morais of Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, has trained extensively at Chute Boxe and has been one of Vanderlei Silva' training partners.

This is going to be a brawl where anything could and will happen! If this were to ultimately be Duke's last fight, look for him to try and end this one in grand fashion.

In a Middleweight MMA bout that should produce some fireworks of it's own, Winnipeg's own Joe "El Dirte" Doerksen (38-9) fight's his last fight in Winnipeg for a while, as he recently signed a contract with Japan's Pride Fighting, and gets in the ring with Maioraino de Morais' student, training partner and stable mate Emerson Nunes da Silva (28-3), also of Campo Grande.

Fighting in the UFC and the IFL, Doerksen has compiled an impressive list of victories in recent years, beating The Ultimate Fighter Season 4 finalist Patrick Cote, TUF Season 3 finalist Ed Herman, UFC Fighter Chris Leben and Pride star Denis Kang. From here, Doerksen moves to the revered rings of Japan's Pride Fighting Championship where he hopes to challenge, beat and ultimately become the world's best.

Friday, February 16, 2007 (Milwaukee, WI USA) Pride Fighting Rules Superbout Highlights Main Event!: Time Warner Cable, Budweiser, Shepherd-Express.com and 102.1 FM present Gladiators Fighting 38 MMA & Kickboxing "No Guts!!! No Glory!!!" this Saturday night, February 17, 2007 at the WI State Fair Park (Wisconsin Products Pavilion) at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the "Awesome Amateurs" undercard starts at 6:00 p.m..

A few local fighters are looking to make a big impression on the Brew City faithful in some of the featured fights on the 16 bout Gladiators Fighting supercard.

Bantamweight 135 pounder "Savage" Dan LaSavage (above) makes his professional MMA debut under Pride Rules in the "No Guts!!! No Glory!!!" main event. This West Allis, (WI), street racer turned pugilist is coming out fast & furious to protect his home turf against Rochester, Minnesota's former high school wrestling standout Randy Ronchi.

Brookfield, Wisconsin's Light Heavyweight Kickboxing upstart Kyle "Wicked" Weickhardt (left, top) returns to the Muay Thai ring against a very tough Luke Riddering (right, top) from John Hackleman's San Luis Obispo, California's The Pit, which has produced UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck "The Iceman' Liddell and K-1 fighter Scott Lighty. Scott Lighty will be in Riddering's corner as he takes on Weickhardt for the WKA US Light Heavyweight Muay Thai Championship.

Marquette University's punching paddy & school boy Rugby player turned scrapper "Danny Boy" Downes, who hails from the south side of Chicago, (IL), will have his Irish out against the very crafty Brandon Mickens from Richmond, (VA), for the WKA US Light Middleweight Muay Thai Championship.

Defending his Gladiators Fighting Bantamweight MMA Championship, Shorewood, Wisconsin native Omar Choudhury puts his title up against Carol Stream, Illinois' John Hoseman in what could turn out to be a war between two of the region's top grapplers.

Other notable area fighters appearing on the card include former UFC participant Adrian Serrano (left, bottom) of Milwaukee, Waukesha, Wisconsin's posse of fan favorites Reese "Old Man" Shaner (right, bottom), Justin "Bacon" Hutter, Jason "Pitbull" Allar and Ed Blake, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Specialist Henry "The Monkey" Matamoros and Hustisford, Wisconsin's rough and tumble Danny Soko.

Finally give a big "Ooh Rah!" for the United States Marine Corps' very own Adam "Ares" Vanderveen of Milwaukee, who was just profiled on the Military Channel's new television show "Combat Zone" in an episode called "Triangle of Death (Iraq, 2004)" and is part of the group of Marines and US Armed Forces personnel credited with preserving Iraq's ability to hold their first free elections in a half-century! Rochester's Jake Brown takes on Vanderveen in a Light Heavyweight MMA skirmish that should have the fans yelling "Ooh Rah!" "Oooh Raah!" "Ooooh Raaah!" This will be a battle indeed.

UFC fighter "Ravishing Red" Schafer will also be in attendance at the show.
